After a long absence from Soweto, Professional Boxing returned.
Boxing returned to Soweto after a long lockdown in the country due to the coronavirus pandemic. All sporting activities grounded to a halt.
On the 17th November 2020,TLB Boxing Promotion, under JOYCE Kungwane returned with the ABU title the main bout.
The title fight was scheduled for 10 rounds of boxing.
The fight started on a high pace with Kuvesa missing with wild swings.
The fight continued on that pace with Thulani Mbenge being the boxer and Kuvesa Katembo, The brawler.
Thulani was a better boxer for the night throwing more accurate punches.
Thulani Mbenge won most of the rounds.
At the end of the 10 rounds Thulani Mbenge was declared a winner on a unanimous points decision.
Thulani Mbenge is the new ABU Welterweight Champion
